Alderney Commission for Renewable Energy (ACRE) licences and regulates the operation, deployment, use or management of all forms of renewable energy in the island of Alderney and its territorial waters. The Commission evaluates the impact of applications on humans, the environment and shipping and fishing activities, and supports research to inform environmental assessments, which are a key part of the licencing and consent process.
