Features of Natural Interest

Over twenty reptile species occur on Anguilla, of which several are endemic. These include the Sombrero black lizard Ameiva corvina, and A. corax (Little Scrub Island). A. pleei is found in Anguilla and otherwise occurs only in Saint Martin and Saint Barthélemy. The regionally endemic anole lizard Anolis gingivnus, the geckos Sphaerodactylus parvus and S. sputator, and the Lesser Antillean iguana Iguana delicatissima occur across the Anguilla Bank.
