Introduction

The reserve covers 640,000km2. This is twice the size of the UK. Ocean currents bring fish and invertebrate larvae which develop into adulthood and release progeny to regenerate the depleted stocks further west. Some of these fish species include the skipjack Katsuwonus pelamis and the yellowfin tuna Thunnus albacares

A varitey of fish can be seen living on the reefs.
