St Michael’s Caves are another notable feature in Gibraltar’s natural and cultural landscape. The caves are a 15km underground network of limestone hollows situated just under the Gibraltar Rock nature reserve. Legend has it that the famous Macaque population travelled from Morocco through the caves.
