Features of Natural Interest

There are an array of habitats which can be found along Jersey’s seashores, thanks to the enormous tidal fluctuations experienced there. The inter-tidal areas ranges from a ‘splash zone’ which is only covered by the highest spring tides, to the very edge of the sub-tidal revealed only on the lowest spring tides. This variation has led to an equally diverse inshore marine life, which includes at least 100 fish and crustacean species and 80 worm species. To find out more about Jersey’s seashore click here.
