The Biodiversity Strategy (2015-2025) is a vital component of obligations under the Convention on Biological Diversity, and has strategic aims by 2025 to:
- manage biodiversity change to minimise loss,
- maintain and where necessary restore or enhance native biodiversity, and
- actively involve society in understanding, appreciating and safeguarding biodiversity
